                  We so anxiously work to receive what we want when we want it, and how. But what is it we want? To be in the past, again? To recite the same words, fake the same smiles, and cling to the same uneducated beliefs?

                  I am sorry. I regret to inform you that this is not the past, and the future may be just as good. But right now, we are not where we want to be, yes? We want to be something different, and we look forward instead of looking at where we're standing, now, right?

                  This person of fear that is myself is constantly reminded of what I don't want to remember. I'm a lot more affected than I give off. I'm scared of being close, and I wake up with nightmares that are simply fearing what has already happened.

                  We are no longer in the past, so let's try to make the future better. We are now in the present, so I'm going to stop pushing off the knowledge of what has happened to me. I don't want to be afraid, anymore. I don't want to keep trying to be unaffected.
